Color formats
Type or paste a color as HEX (#2b59ff, with or without alpha), rgb() or hsl() and every other format is shown beside it, ready to copy.
How contrast is measured
The ratio compares the relative luminance of two colors, from 1:1 (identical) to 21:1 (black on white). WCAG 2 asks for at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text (about 24px, or 19px bold) at level AA. Level AAA raises those to 7:1 and 4.5:1. User interface parts such as input borders and icons need 3:1.
